·        Follow General Tips as applicable

·        Do not gut fish

·        Protect delicate scales – Do not allow fish to flop around, do not allow it to rub or be dragged across rough or hard surfaces

·        Ice your fish as soon as possible

·        Wrap a damp, not wet towel carefully around the fish, keeping it flat, then place in a plastic bag and freeze flat – the towel will keep the fish from freezer burn and will protect the scales and fins
