Game Heads and Shoulder Mounts

·        Follow General Tips

·        Refer to Diagrams A and B for skinning for shoulder mount

·        Cut at base of skull

·        Do not cut into brisket

·        Always better to have more cape than too little

·        Cut cape behind shoulders and down legs as indicated in A and B and then skin forward around the animals body, removing like a sock

·        Pronghorns and Sheep specimens are very susceptible to blood stains, especially if allowed to dry – remove blood, dirt and debris prior to salting (rinse in cold water to remove blood)
