Tutoring For TRIO Students, By TRIO Students
As part of our academic services for enrolled TRIO participants, TRIO offers the opportunity to access free tutoring in a number of subjects each semester. Our tutors mostly assist with lower-division courses needed to complete certain General Education requirements, particularly related to Math, Science, and Writing.
The Center is located on the 3rd floor of Aber Hall, room 320. Up to ten tutors are available every semester, and at least two are on duty whenever the tutor center is open.
Fields tutored previously have included chemistry, foreign languages, computer science, and economics. Our list of available tutor offerings vary from semester to semester.
How Often Can I Meet With a Tutor?
Although some students have extended help sessions with tutors, we encourage you to bring your homework to the Tutor Center often and early so you can get help whenever you have a question. You will perform much better in class by building a solid foundation, rather than waiting until the last minute to get help!
Please note that TRIO SSS tutors can only meet with actively enrolled TRIO students.
Who Are TRIO SSS tutors?
Usually, TRIO SSS tutors are TRIO SSS students themselves!
Our tutors are a group of dynamic, qualified 老虎机攻略 graduate and undergraduate students who have demonstrated mastery of certain subject areas. Most TRIO SSS tutors have previous tutoring experience and have worked extensively with the TRIO SSS student population.
